Josh Boardman graduated summa cum laude with a triple B.A. in Latin, Philosophy, and Creative Writing from Western Michigan University in 2009. In the year following he worked as an editorial intern for the journal Comparative Drama based at Western Michigan University, proofreading and studying critical essays on dramas from Aeschylus's Prometheus Bound to Peter Shaffer's Amadeus. While studying Virgil's Aeneid and Dante's Commedia side by side, he was honored with the Victor Coutant Award for the study of Classics and wrote a research paper entitled "Dante's Absolution of the Summa Poeta in the Divine Comedy," which earned the Brown Award for Early English Studies. His interest in the field of Classics is chiefly the elegiac love poetry of Ovid and Tibullus.
