Jen Gerrish received a B.A. with departmental honors in Ancient History at Vassar College in 2005. She continued her studies in Penn's Post-baccalaureate Program until she entered the CLST Graduate Group in 2007. Her research interests are focused in Greek and Roman historiography. Her dissertation, under the direction of Cynthia Damon and tentatively titled "Nam quid ultra? Sallust on the Seventies and the Triumviral Period," examines triumviral echoes in the fragments of Sallust's Histories. Beyond historiography, Jen is also interested in Silver Latin epic, and hopes to continue her work on Lucan and Statius at some point in the future.
