Alice Hu
Alice Hu graduated from Stanford University in 2010 with a BA in Classics (Latin and Greek) with Honors and a BA in History (War and Revolution), where she was awarded the Prize for Advanced Study in the Humanities. She has also participated in Harvard University's Summer School in Olympia, Greece (Summer 2008), College Year in Athens (Fall 2008), and University of Michigan’s Gabii Project in Frascati, Italy in 2010. She entered the Penn PhD program in Fall of 2011.
Alice’s interests include ethnic and cultural identity in the ancient world, representations of space in literature, Roman antiquarian writing, and potentially ancient law. Alice continues to cultivate a strong interest in modern history, particularly in violence and law enforcement in 19th century America.
