Mara Kutter earned her B.A. (Classical Civilization, History) from UCLA in 2010. She participated in the UCLA History Department Travel Study program to Greece in the summer of 2008, and spent the following summer working on an excavation of the lower town of Mycenae with the Dickinson Excavation Project & Archaeological Survey of Mycenae (D.E.P.A.S.). Her main interests lie in the literature and history of Greece during the late Archaic and early Classical periods, with particular emphasis on representations of political leadership and the phenomenon of tyranny.
