Anthony McDonald entered the post-bac program as part of a career change. He first earned a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University, then worked in accounting for five years. During that time he developed a strong interest in the study of languages and intellectual history. In the end, that interest led him out of the cubicle and back to the classroom -- first to language school in France for much of a year, then back to Indiana University for a B.A. in Classical Studies, which he completed in 2010. He spent this past summer studying at the University of Notre Dame's Medieval Studies Institute before coming to Penn. His interests include ancient philosophy, religion, and law, especially the relationship of the these three in Imperial Rome.
