Justin Speidel received his BA from the University of Michigan in Classical Civilization (2010). He entered the Post-Baccalaureate Program in Classical Studies at Penn in the Fall of 2010. While at Michigan, he participated in the Gabii Project (2009), a dig centered at the site of Gabii in the region of Latium and co-run by the University of Michigan and Boston University. He is interested in and currently applying to Ancient History PhD programs and his area of interest lies in late republican and early imperial Rome, specifically the Social War and the transition from Republic to Empire.
