Brief Biography:
Donna St. Louis earned her B.A. in Classics and French from Grand Valley State University in 2010. Her interests include Greek and Latin literature (especially poetry) and linguistics (historical, syntax). She wrote an undergraduate thesis investigating the influence of the Roman satirist Martial on the epigrams of Alexis Piron, a contemporary of Voltaire. While at Grand Valley, she studied abroad in France and received a grant to translate a modern French novel into English. After a year spent perfecting her Latin and Greek, Donna hopes to enter a Ph.D. program in linguistics.
