Brief Biography: 

Sam Webster received a B.A. in Classical Civilizations from Loyola University Chicago in 2008. After a brief foray into the not-for-profit world, he returned to academia at the University of Pennsylvania in 2010 for a summer Latin intensive, and began the Post-Baccalaureate program that Fall. He is primarily interested in 4th century Greek history and how it is depicted through historiography, oratory, and political invective. He is currently focused on the rise of Philip II of Macedon, the Macedonian conquest of Greece, and what is revealed about these events through the speeches of Demosthenes.
