Intensive Elementary Greek

Intensive study of basic Greek grammar and vocabulary together with readings from classical authors designed to provide students with the necessary grounding for reading Greek literature.  Equivalent to one year of college Greek.

Intermediate Greek

This course introduces students to the basic history and conventions of Greek prose and poetry, with continuous readings (including texts by Plato and Homer, among others) accompanied by grammar review and exercises. It is equivalent to GREK 203 + 204 at twice the normal pace. This is a hybrid course, which combines regular class meetings with additional online activities. Prerequisites: GREK 102 or equivalent (such as GREK 112) or permission of instructor. Note: Completion of this course fulfills the Penn language requirement.
