Department of Classical Studies
Joe Farrell will be a visiting Scholar at the American Academy in Rome from March 7–21. During that time, he will take part in a workshop, "Explaining Texts through Texts: Comparing Methods," organized by and held at the AAR in conjunction with Sapienza University of Rome on March 16–17. He will also be going to Cortona to take part in a study day devoted to Statius, Thebaid, book 1 at the Palazzone di Cortona, organized by the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa on March 18.
Additionally, on March 8th he will lecture to students at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies in Rome on "Sicily in Greek and Latin literature."
