Catherin Keane's research and teaching interests range broadly over Greek and Roman literature and culture, but center on the comic genres and their reception. Her research focuses on the Roman verse satirists Horace, Persius, and Juvenal. In addition to a number of articles, she has published two books: Figuring Genre in Roman Satire (2006) and A Roman Verse Satire Reader (2010). She is finishing a third book called Juvenal and the Satiric Emotions.
