Marcie’s research interests center on the interplay between Hellenistic and Augustan poetry. Her dissertation, titled "Code-Switching in Saturis Lucilii," applies modern linguistic theory to analyze the literary, cultural, and generic evidence within the fragments of Lucilius' corpus. She is also interested in textual transmission, and in developing the possibilities of presenting fragments within digital editions.
