GREG CALLAGHAN (ANCH) 2019-2020 GRADUATE FELLOW FOR THE WOLF HUMANITIES CENTER

Greg Callaghan (ANCH) has been selected as one of the 2019-2020 Graduate Fellows for the Wolf Humanities Center. Through this award, Greg will be a member of the Center's Mellon Research Seminar dedicated to its Annual Topic of "Kinship." At a moment when, in many societies around the world, a more capacious imagining of community is being deliberately erased or forgotten, to be replaced by parochialisms and hatred, the Wolf Humanities Center topic for 2019-20 calls for a reappraisal of the myriad possibilities for remembering, challenging, and reimagining kinship. In this context, Greg will continue his research on the networks of the Attalid dynasty and the use of kinship to construct and foster ties between the kingdom of Pergamon and other communities across the Aegean world.
