Amelia Bensch-Schaus

Amelia's primary research interests include Greek poetry, particularly epic, and Augustan poetics. During her junior year abroad, she wrote a thesis on the anthropomorphization of places in the Homeric Hymn to Apollo, while her senior thesis explored the role of fate in Homer. At Penn, she is looking forward to working on Hellenistic literature and the reception of classical poetry.
