Department of Classical Studies
I am interested in the Classical Period of ancient Greece, especially the development of differential political institutions and the construction of political identities. Interruptions or “happenings” including wars, coups d'état and disasters have been my favorite (and tentatively main) fields of study. I am also interested in the history of the Holy Roman Empire, Japanese Sengoku Jidai, and Critical theories.
