BA in Classics, summa cum laude, University of Pittsburgh
Zachary's broader interests include ancient philosophy, ancient law, and theology. At the University of Pittsburgh his honor's thesis explored how Augustine of Hippo synthesized Platonic, Skeptical, and Christian theophilosophical concerns into a (arguably) coherent epistemological outlook. At Penn he hopes to continue studying philosophers from Plato through the Hellenistic period, as well as Cicero's reception of Hellenistic philosophy which would later impact thinkers in late antiquity, i.e. Augustine.
