| A Greek writer of romances, born in Syria, who composed in the second half of the 2nd century A.D. a romance in sixteen books, called, from the scene of the greater part of the story, Babylonica. It relates the love-adventures of Rhodanes and Sinonis. We only possess an epitome of it by Photius. | |
