Katri received her B.A. in Classical Studies from Rice University in 2014. Her senior thesis focused on modern reception of Virgil’s Aeneid. Specifically, she concentrated on how western culture interpreted the Aeneid, including World War II nationalism, modern poetry, and the female perspective. Katri hopes to continue researching modern reception of more Latin authors, namely Ovid and Catullus, and also hopes to focus more on the female perspective within their works.
