
Dr. John Paul Christy, an alumnus of the Graduate Group in Classical Studies/Greek and Latin Languages and Literatures, has been appointed Executive Director of the Princeton Humanities Initiative.
John Paul received his Penn Ph.D. in 2010 with a dissertation entitled "Writing to Power: Tyrant and Sage in Ancient Greek Epistolography," directed by Sheila Murnaghan. After graduating from Penn, he was a Presidential Management Fellow in Washington, DC before joining the American Council of Learned Societies in 2012, where he has managed numerous fellowship programs and launched many initiatives supporting scholars in their research and professional development.
